Finale, which was created by the MakeMusic company, is one of the biggest, most respected and most widely used notation software applications on the market. MakeMusic Finale began life back in 1988 and has steadily expanded in use and in popularity since.
MakeMusic Finale is predominately used by professionals in the music industry, but it can also be used by amateurs and aspiring musicians, composers or producers who want to give their music a professional edge. MakeMusic Finale has been used to create scores for a number of hugely popular films, including the Oscar nominated films Million Dollar Baby, Sideways, The Aviator and the Village. MakeMusic Finale was also used to pen the score for one of the Harry Potter films (The Prisoner of Azkaban), along with big hit animations such as The polar Express and Ratatouille.
